Based on the award-winning Autodesk® Maya® software, Maya LT offers users a familiar UI and workflow at an affordable price, making it ideal for game artists of various skill levels. 

The Extension for Autodesk® Maya® 2014 software brings you the power of some of the industry’s best technology, with new tools and enhancements that help you more easily create the complex, high-quality assets required by today’s demanding productions. With the XGen Arbitrary Primitive Generator for creating hair, fur, feathers, grass, foliage, and other instanced data; a new retopology toolset; new robust and efficient Boolean operations; and enhancements to the Bullet physics plug-in, the Extension for Maya 2014 delivers increased productivity to modelers, animators, and effects artists. 

System requirements for Autodesk® Maya® 2014 

Maya 2014 is supported on the following 64-bit operating systems and at a minimum requires a system with the following 64-bit hardware: 

- Windows® 7 or Windows 8 Professional, Apple® Mac OS® X 10.7.x or 10.8.x, or Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6.2 WS operating system 

- 64-bit Intel or AMD multi-core processor 

- 4 GB of RAM minimum (8 GB recommended) 

- 2 GB of free disk space for installation 

- Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, Apple® Safari®, or Mozilla® Firefox® web browser 

- 3-button mouse 

System requirements for Autodesk® Maya LT™ 2014 

• Windows® 8 or Windows 7 Professional edition, Apple® Mac OS® X 10.7.x, or Mac OS X 10.8.x operating system 

• 64-bit Intel® or AMD® multicore processor 

• Microsoft® DirectX® 11 compatible graphics card 

• 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended) 

• 2 GB of free disk space for installation 

• Internet Explorer®, Safari®, or Firefox® web browser 

• Three-button mouse 

Autodesk Maya LT 2014 is also capable of running on certain other configurations. However, enumerating systems that are not tested and cannot be supported or that fall below the Autodesk recommended minimum system requirements for a productive user experience is beyond the scope of the Autodesk online certification charts.
